8-7 English Class (October 20th)

Hi everybody,

Today I will be absent at school because I am some sick, but here is the activity to do:

1. Finish the activities about chapter 6 (read for meaning, playing time, around the text, a taste of grammar and summary of the events)

2. For the next class, get together in groups of 4 STUDENTS and bring the next MATERIALS:

- 1 PIECE OF FLAT WOOD (TABLA DE 30CM X 30CM)
- CLAY IN DIFFERENT COLORS
- MARKERS
- TOOTHPICKS
- WATERCOLORS
- GLITTER

8-7 CLASS AUGUST 25 (Two hours)

Hi Guys!

I could not be in class with you this day. So, these are the activities to do:
1. Study the vocabulary of the last quiz.
2. Solve all the activities about chapters 4 and 5.
3. Write the vocabulary of chapters 4 and 5 on the notebook
4. Next class you will have the final Exam of third period (topics:Reading comprehension and vocabulary)

Hello dear students,

We are near to end this third period. It has been a short time to share all the activities we have done. I really hope you have improved your English level with the reading of the books we are working. I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to those students who made BEAUTIFUL oral presentations with NICE MATERIAL. Some of them are in 10th others in 11th grade. I feel very happy sharing this time with all of you. I also hope that those who did not work at all this period could do it better the next period. I will load some of the GRAPHIC SEQUENCES and DIAGRAMS of the students in some days.

8-7 CLASS ON MAY 19th (Two hours)

Hi Everybody,
Last class we could not work because there was a meeting at the Library. So this is the work at home:

1. Finish the activity about the graphic sequence from chapter 2. Next class you will show it to your classmates. (Secuencia gráfica para presentar a los compañeros)
2. Read chapter 2 and solve:
page 28: Read for meaning
page 29 Quiz time
Page 30 Around the text
Page 31 Playing time

3. Study the vocabulary from chapter 2: You have to WRITE THE VOCABULARY IN YOUR NOTEBOOK and look for the definitions in the dictionary:

8-7 CLASS ON MAY 12th (Two hours)

Hi dear Students,
As you know this will be a long weekend because today and tomorrow there is no class at the school. So we have work at home!! We are going to continue following Alice in Wonderland to know what happened after she became big again and could not enter by the little door into the garden.

Activites to do at home:
1. Study the vocabulary of chapter 1. Look for these words and write them in your notebook. You can use some drawings to help you remember them : SUNNY, HOLE, LATE, EMPTY, CORNER, SMALL, GOLDEN KEY, CURTAIN, BOTTLE, BOX, STRANGE, WHISKERS, CRY, SEE, EAT, DRINK, WALK, FALL DOWN, MEET, FOLLOW, LOOK, READ, THINK, LOCKED, HAPPEN.

2. Solve activities from the book pages 18: A post card from wonderland
page 19: Around the text
page 20: Playing time (Give this activity to the teacher in a sheet of paper for next class)
page 21: A taste of grammar
Page 22: Summary of events

3. Read chapter 2: THE POOL OF TEARS
Look for the new vocabulary and write it in the notebook. Use drawings
4. Draw a graphic sequence about chapter 2 in a cardboard. It must have at least 6 frames to show what happened in chapter 2. Use descriptions in English for the images. Mark it with your name and prepare your-self to present it to the class.

8-6 (CLASS ON APRIL 26th) 2 HOURS

Hi Dear students,
Unfortunately we could not have class today, I confess you I was waiting for you to do the class. But there was a different activity, so it was not possible. Then, as we agreed in class, here I post the next work:

Solve the next activities from the book:
1. Page 22: Summary of the events.
2. In a sheet of paper DRAW 4-6 frames to show what happend in chapter 1. (Dibujar una secuencia gráfica que tenga de 4-6 viñetas para ilustrar lo que sucede en el capítulo 1, es un trabajo para intercambiar con los compañeros (En una octavo de cartulina). Un trabajo de CALIDAD)
3. Review chapter 1 vocabulary and comprehension, you will have EXAM of chapter 1 on the
MAY 3rd class.
